Due to environmental regulations the ground for storage facilities and bulk material boxes is partly very expensive.
However, it can often be protected by simple means and hence be preserved in the long term.

With our sheet steel we supply a simple and proven solution for protection from high
abrasion or serious contamination of the subsoil – including finished assembly as well as welding together and adjusting of the base plates.
LÜRA sheet steel in use
Protection of concrete floors in warehouses and outside areas
As a draining surface in accordance with the Water Resources Act (WHG - Wasserhaushaltsgesetz) in chip bins, chip and shaving boxes and handling boxes for bulk materials which have been classified as water-hazardous according to the Water Resources Act (WHG)
As a drip tray for containers/tanks: secondary protection for equipment and/or areas relevant to the Water Resources Act (WHG)
Water-tight LÜRA box: the complete solution from LÜRA
LÜRA is a certified company according to the Water Resources Act (WHG - Wasserhaushaltsgesetz). For some storage facilities, e.g. for chips and shavings, we offer, through the combination of LÜRA movable walls made of steel with our steel floors, a complete solution for storage boxes that are water-tight and/or impermeable to water.

Through the combination of the steel floors in LÜRA bulk material boxes with the LÜRA movable walls the steel floor can be taken into account for the structural analyses. Also for complete LÜRA bulk material halls the overall design can in this way be planned and implemented technically and economically in an optimum manner.
Example of the large LÜRA sliding roof hall: in order to protect the ground – and to comply with local regulations under the Water Resources Act WHG – in the project example shown sheet steel plates were laid as a draining surface throughout the hall and welded together tight.
