LÜRA solutions for the most difficult cases

Filler wall, fire and sound protection: LÜRA movable walls combine many functions. Their outstanding durability additionally makes them ideal for the area of scrap and steel recycling. Due to the sturdiness of the steel structure the material ... and statics are not lost when things get a bit rougher during manoeuvring with a wheel loader or crane. The walls are continuous – no components can be knocked down from a great height. A gripper crashing against them or heavy steel parts do not lead to destruction or flaking on the walls and hence to the contamination of the bulk material. Minor mishaps can, if necessary, be remedied by simple, cost-effective means. For storage and sorting yards, where filler walls are exposed to extremely harsh conditions, we have additionally developed special variants.

In the case of the most unfavourable bulk materials: wide base or offset plate. It is welded onto the lower inner side of the movable walls. ... In that way we increase their stability and at the same time reduce the wall width. For propping-up embankments the wall can also be constructed as an angular retaining wall.


In the case of particularly high load: the reinforcement. Here we construct the lower part of the wall of 8-10 mm thick steel plate. ... Maximum protection against damage by bulk material or manoeuvring vehicles is provided.

Fastening to the ground



For very high safety requirements: fastening to the ground. The moveable wall is ... ... fastened with the help of plugs and anchors to the base plate and/or to the foundations. As additional protection against slippage, an anti-slip bearing can be used. In that way we achieve extraordinary stability by means of the reduction of wall widths and filling material.

Maximum stability and sturdiness

Dimensions made-to-measure

LÜRA walls can be dimensioned for your special application, e.g. extremely high filling loads, as a standard dimension up to a length of 6 m or a height of 7 m ... – and even beyond that. Even at these heights fastening to the substrate is not necessary. It goes without saying that we produce special sizes and special variants, for example for the protection of hall supports, machines or individual hall and fire sections. Ask us!

Material

All LÜRA movable walls are made of sheet steel. Their painting is carried out with a corrosion protection coating in the standard colour shade grey. On request we will gladly supply it in an RAL shade of your choice.

Corrosion proofing

For special demands in corrosion proofing, e.g. for the storage of salt, there are additionally various special coatings available.

Structural stability/impact loads

Due to their filling on the spot LÜRA movable walls achieve enormous stability and sturdiness. They are interconnected by means of a groove and tongue system and ... interlocking systems. Longitudinal and cross-bracing within the movable wall absorbs even the heaviest impact loads without any problems. The walls can be adjusted to particularly high loads (e.g. wide base, additional offset plates, anti-slippage devices). For every application documentary evidence of the structural stability (tipping and slippage prevention) can be produced.

Water filling

Structural stability and flexible box design also at great heights: since the mobility of the walls can easily be maintained by their being filled with water. ... Filling with water is only suitable for relatively light to moderately heavy bulk material. It requires additional bracing and water-tight welding together of the moveable wall as well as the fitting of a drainage opening.

Fire protection analysis

LÜRA moveable walls are classified by DIBt Berlin in cooperation with MPA NRW according to DIN EN 13501-2 with EI 90 / EI 240 and ... according to DIN 4102-2 with F90A and/or F240. Hence they can be used in the area subject to regulation and inspection by the building authorities for these protection classes.
